| Bela-Bela, Limpopo. Lured by the promise of a quick buck, local game farmer Basie van Tonder strikes a shady deal with Armand, a ruthless arms dealer with interests in the illegal rhino horn trade. To sweeten a contract with an Asian customer he needs forty horns in four weeks. A fresh crop of gruesome Rhino killings is set in motion, but as the impossible deadline approaches Basie turns to Spoon a traditional hunter for help, and in desperation he frames a stranger who came to the bushveld hoping to find a piece of heaven. | In South Africa a Rhino is killed every 21 hours. This film is a response to this crisis – but it’s not a dogmatic environmental plea for help. “Snare” is thrilling entertainment that will make audiences think about the genocide of one of Africa’s greatest species. Combining narrative with sweepingly beautiful photography of the South African bush and intense documentary sequences that are integrated into the story, the film will thrill, provoke and inspire all who see it to finally stand up for a species that, if we do nothing, will soon not walk the earth. |

| Based on the cult hit song ‘Leeuloop’ which took South Africans by storm, this comedy romp is set for nationwide release in 2012. Can you sing? Can you dance? Can you run? Maybe yes to one; but can you master all at the same time? This movie is not about a song or a dance competition, nor even a hundred metre funrun. This is the 100 metre ‘leeuloop’. | Inspired by the hit South African song of the same name this new Afrikaans comedy features a bunch of crazy characters keen to enter this wacky competition - from Manie Mol, a fanatical busker, to Pieter Platina the frog farmer, Ray the Rhythmic Raver and Fanie Venter a rehabilitated trailer thief to pea shooting champion Petros Mali – all deal with their excitement and disappointments in the months leading up to the competition. |

This magical, inspiring tale about belief and family love is set against the backdrop of the exquisite town of Prince Albert.
Marietjie Naude, an 18-year-old country girl, goes home to her parents’ olive farm for Christmas. When she tells her parents Ella and Kallie that she is pregnant, they are shocked. But the real blow comes when she assures them she is still a virgin and that the Holy Spirit must be the father of her unborn child. |
